Q. When is the best time to book?

A. ASAP Ė Please ring us to check availability and provisionally hold a date and time.

Q. At what point should we choose which of your menus we would like?
Soon after reserving your table we would need to know which of our menus would best suit your party as we need to plan the appropriate space needed.

Q. When do you need a deposit and for how much?
Deposits are £5 per person. We advise you to collect these from your group immediately and then, within 10 days of making your booking, confirm to us with a deposit of £5 per person booked.

Q. How do I sort everyone's food choices?
If booking our Set Menu, on payment of your deposit and confirmation of your menu, we will issue you with a menu choice sheet (electronic or printed copy) to help you list each member of your party. We donít need advance choices for the Carvery Menu.

Q. What about food allergies etc?
All our dishes are made by our own chefs here at the pub, so we can usually adjust anything to suit personal requirements. Please discuss with us, or ask the relevant individual to call. It is very important that we are advised of any allergies prior to the day of the party.

Q. When do you need our individual food choices for the Set Menu?
We suggest you collect the individual choices for all your party 3 weeks before the date and complete our menu choice sheet. Then, 2 weeks before your party, provide us with your completed sheet (we recommend you keep a copy also), either hard copy or electronically by email as well as your choice of wines if required.

Q. What happens if some guests need to cancel?
A. We ask you to keep us informed of the situation as best you can. Our deposit of £5 per person is non-refundable as we often have to refuse other bookings, but we do look at all individual circumstances.

Q. When must I confirm final numbers? What about last minute illness etc.?
A. 2 days before party
, we ask you to confirm final numbers. Normally you will be charged the full menu price for these numbers, but again, we will look at each situation and the more notice of problems that we have, the better.
As the Carvery is a buffet, we will need a definitive number to cater for 2 days before the event, and we will therefore need payment for that final number. We suggest the organisers take payment at the same time as the deposit - so should someone not turn up or cancel, you don't lose out! If you would like to pay in advance, no problem, just give us a call before and we can sort it.

Q. When must I pay for the meal?
On your booked day, before you leave, or beforehand if preferred. Please settle the bill by cash, company/club cheque or card.
